Good review. Just recently watched both Whiplash and La La Land, they're both awesome
At first I wasn’t too interested in watching La La Land, but I ended up watching it, and I fell in love with it!!
The Positives: The acting, the songs, the cinematography, the story, the choreography, the directing, the pacing, and the ending.
This movie is absolutely perfect in my opinion, and it meant a lot to me in my love of movies. Overall, I absolutely love La La Land, and it’s my favorite musical movie that I’d give an A+.
This a perfect movie. I get moonlight was awesome, but this deserves every award.
god i love this movie
I know you hate musicals and all that, but come on, this movie is probably is the best modern musical and definitely deserved an A+
This movie deserved the oscar that year. It is leagues better than that crap Moonlight
Why does this guy's teeth look so disgusting?
Can our love ever be if you don’t love musicals !? 😩
Sure yeah.
Or do i? Haheha
Whiplash is NOT Chazelle's first film.
So your telling me Ryan the guy from Drive is in a sing and dance film!!?? Oh god what has this world come to
Movie is overrated
this guy earned my like and sub just by his t shirt
"Welcome to Seb's" Nuff said.
Overrated
i think people call it a love letter to LA because it represents a lot of what LA is. millions of passionate people chasing their dreams in an over saturated world of other talented people doing the same. making sacrifices, whether it be a stable income or leaving your family, all for your dream. it illustrates the conflict between love and passion. how what can bring two people together may be the same thing that tears them apart. it chronicles the stages of life, and how not all good things last forever. how one must be thankful for past relationships because with all the good and bad they are a part of you. without certain relationships or experiences you would not be who you are today.
Hated this movie so booooring
Wow. Whiplash is a good movie. Agreed. And not everyone has the same taste in movies. True. But I was still shocked that you not only think that Whiplash is a better movie than La La Land, but that you actually said it out loud and recorded it and posted it on Youtube. I've seen both and own both and have viewed both more than once, but wow. I'm almost in shock that someone could ever think that and yet now I must obviously accept that you are most likely not alone in that sentiment. For some reason, until I just heard you say it, the thought, as simple as it is, would have never occurred to me that there are people out there that think Whiplash is a better movie than La La Land. Wow. Heck for all we know the Damien Chazelle may even think that. Again, wow.
boi this dude doesnt know what hes talking about
You seem like a smart guy but your jokes are literally so bad….
I did not know Chris was 12
As Chris said, I agree that the movie was excellent in terms of technicality. For me, this movie is a pool of different emotions. After Whiplash (2014) which was the first movie directed by Damien Chazelle, La La Land was the most awaited movie of his fans, including myself. There were a few notes said in the video which made me ponder. For instance, the amount of Los Angeles sceneries to show the greatness of the city or the angry love of Jazz music shown by Sebastian. Just like Chris, many people who do not prefer musical movies actually enjoyed this movie. I give credits to the main characters and of course, the director Damien Chazelle himself. The aim of the movie, as Chris said, is to motivate people to achieve their dreams and honestly, as a spectator, I did find myself motivated after watching this movie. The stereotype of musicals were a musical number just pops out of nowhere is not found in this movie. Overall, colour also played a great role in this movie, depicting emotions of the characters. The epilogue, despite bittersweet, again showed the message of willingness to sacrifice things to achieve their dreams.
"This film is a love letter to passionate people"
A+
the ending left me so broken hearted but happy but also broken hearted ahhhhhhhhhhhhh this movie is just filllled with conflicting emotions. A++++++++++++++++ from me i think its pretty damn perfect
Interesting. I actually thought La La Land was a better movie than Whiplash, but I think the performances (specifically JK Simmons as Fletcher) were better in Whiplash.
Totally love this movie.
Just don't know why… the more times I watch it the less flaws I notice.
This is not even Goslings best movie from 2016
When you realise Emma Stone's character is cheating in the movie.
It's his opinion you guys, but don't worry, we all know that this film is unanimously an A+, and his vote doesn't change that.
Haha I'm twelve 😂
Please brush your teeth
GUY AND MADELINE ON A PARK BENCH is Damien's first feature film!!! 😤😤😤
This is my favourite movie
So you’re telling me that White people made Jazz?
Chris you gave that garbage an A+, why Chris, why?
One point, Chris: whiplash wasn't his first film; it was Guy and Madeline on a park bench
Dude, I love your channel and I really don’t want to insult you, but I have to ask:
Is there something wrong with your teeth in this video??
The beginning of la la land alone is a masterpiece but given it an A it a joke.
Since Movieclips started to show some movies, and I got finally the chance to get to see La La Land for the first time, I'm so surprised about how wonderful this movie is. I'm wondering, at the time the movie came out, why did I made the choice to skip it? I felt like I missed an opportunity to see this great piece of art in a theater. It's just…perfect. I definitely reccommend this movie. It's a pure joy to watch.
@2:06 – I started singing – "I've got a dream, I've got a dream…….."
You sang!
Only "Worth the time"? This movie is a masterpiece! A+ absolutely!
